Gnome 3x3 cards

Howdy everyone! So, I have already posted a Haul post from Walmart but I finished my gnome 3x3 cards other day. They were sitting waiting to be trimmed bc the grass was crazy and I needed to trim it so I hadn't taken any photos of them bc of that. Well, I just trimmed them and took some pictures so I will upload those and tell you everything I used.

This is how I did this spent like hours stamping, coloring, paper piecing and cutting out bc I like to do an assemble line when doing some 3x3 cards. I don't have a die cutting machine I actually like to fussy cut things I'm weird like that. Plus, I don't usually like my cards to have that extra white border around the image. I have seen some cards that how those and it looks amazingly cute. I have bought and traded for cards with images like that but IDK I like to be right on the line. I also had some left over maybe later on down the road I will show you all how I store those for easy use and able to find those quickly but for now here's some images about the cards.

paper piecing with this nice green paper I love this green and it's a thicker paper too!
So, the materials I used were...
  • Lawn Fawn's Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set
  • Lawn Fawn's Cruising Through life stamp set
  • All Night Media's Rubber stamp set it just says Stamp Square (I got at joann's roughly in 2006-2007)
  • Studio G's chalk pigment ink it's like a dark olive green (I got at Joann's in the dollar bin like somewhere between 2006-2010 not sure when)
  • Fiskar's pinking shears (i've had since the late 90's)
  • some markers (Crayola and Sharpie's)
  • some card stock and computer paper
  • glue
  • scissors
  • Gelly Roll's white gel pen

So after everything was cut out I started gluing it all together. I feel like there is alot going on in these cards but it some how works for me. I would like to point out that those clouds are not a stamp they were hand drawn on white computer paper with a sharpie and just cut out. I wanted a variety of of cards so some things are changed be it color, layout or both.

Here is a close up of two elements of the cards

the gnome is one element and I glues the bird to his hand to make it seem like one image

This image was actually stamped like this on accident but I went with it bc it was so darn cute!

Alright well that's all for these cards...
