Pocket Letters from March St Patrick's Day Themed

Hey guys! In an order to get caught up which even me not posting I'm still doing pretty darn good but when I was scrolling through my fone to find old creations I realized there were a few I hadn't posted. I was debating if I wanted to go and make one long post about them all which surprising to me there wasn't to many from late this year that needs to be posted or if I should do them all individually and I think I am going to do them all separate so they get my full attention and love that I put into them!

SO today's is from March- I went with a St. Patrick's Day theme it is a big deal in my house my other half is part Irish, I'm mostly Irish, he has a Leprechaun Tattoo (as talked about in this post http://creationsbylyzz.blogspot.com/2014/07/tattoo-inspired-my-new-atc.html ), his gamer tag is Lucky and often uses a shamrock for a symbol, plus his favorite color is green, also i love Leprechauns! So St Patrick's Day and March is a great month in our home. Usually filled with the smell of Corned Beef and Cabbage too!
(seriously making my own mouth water just thinking about it!)

So for March I naturally went with a St. Patrick's Day theme!

The front of Ashley's
 The back of Ashley's
 The front of Tam's
 The back of Tam's
 The front of Sara's
 The back of Sara's

If you notice there is a SUPER cute Leprechaun! If he looks filimar it is bc he is the gnome from Lawn Fawn's Gnome Sweet Gnome set and I use my masking techinque to stamp the hat from Lawn Fawn's Hats off to You set and colored him with green, yellow and an orange beard to make him a Leprechaun. I think it worked out great!

If you have any questions about masking I did a post all about it
with a video and everything. It was super hard to explain how to mask over the fone or by texting I tried with Sara so I made her a video! I just hope it has helped ours!

There were more things that went into to the back of them but this was what i had pulled for pocket letters right off the back!

Thank you for stopping in and have a great day

ATC with a Pocket

Hey guys!

Really trying to get back into this! Ok so Today's post is a post on a swap i did in one of my groups i'm in on Swap-Bot.com called ATC with a Pocket. We had to have an ATC with a pocket with at least 2 items in the pocket! This was an interesting one. It totally got my brain going so i joined i enjoyed making it tho i didn't care for the long wait to mail it out... things can get lost on my desk and i was super worried about that i love making art but hate having it sit around to long i lose things lol!

Well this is what i did for it!

I had this idea of using my kraft paper which is a rougher surface then i like so i have to make myself use it bc i cant draw on bc it's not smooth at all which is ok for somethings but i bought it to draw on and use like normal paper but got a really good deal on amazon so it's a catch 22 with it. I have been trying to come up with other ways of using it.So here i thought OMG lets try stenciling it!

So i got out my Tim Holtz sunburst stencil and my Stamping up Tangerine Twist ink and i stenciled 2 of the same patterns on this Kraft paper. So i could have a pocket in the same thing.

I added the pocket to the exact position and then added some faux stitching to make it look like a pocket also added some sequins to add some detail and a black boarder to tie in with the black stitch lines.

Here are the pieces i made for the pocket (from left to right) all are 2 sided bc idk what the person will use them for if anything and are the same thing on both sides. Some pieces were more of a pain to do than others.

1. i use a wooden compass stamp that bought out of the dollar bin i believe and stamped a compass and i used a tan marker to color it then took my memento rich cocoa ink and a blender tool and did the blending of the dark brown i love the color that comes out when doing that the red hues really shine through and i add some in the middle to really make look worn Then i took a sign stamp out of a 1.99 Sea set i got from Michael's ( Idk the name or the brand if you are interested message me i will pull them out and tell you.) I stamped it out and colored it then glued it down and this one was a little hard to do 2 sided to get he compass right but i managed to get it!

2. Is a bookmark! I used a Lawn fawn stamp from Gnome Sweet Gnome i never use the stamp and so thought his piece has been very unique why not use it something else that is unique and different... so i too the stamp and colored it and took the same kraft paper added some gold strips which i loved the way it turned out then glued the image on and punched a hole then made the hanging tassel which was my first one i ever made and turned out great! Also 2 sided!

3. the luggage i just had this feel going on and when flipping through my stamps i see this one and thought wow that could really go with the feel if i colored then just right i used the same gold on the accents and then colored them all in some of the same color family i used in the project i wish i would have added something to the bottom to anchor more or colored it darker but did 2 sided which was a pain also bc of the cutting out process but made it work.

All and all i love how all the pieces work together to add a fun element to the ATC.

They all looked great over laying in the pocket!
This was really fun and i think i will do another really soon! Also i just posted a Pokemon ATC with a Pocket so this one has been on my mind. But I also want to do another random ATC with a  pocket!

Thank you for stopping by...

Old skool pac man arcade pocket letter

Hey guys! So i wanted to post this blog to give some more ideas of pocket letters for my pokemon group who has a pokemon pocket letter swap up!

Which i am uner excited about idk what i wanna do for it yet... But so ecited about it!

Ok ok so this blog is about the sweet sweet arcade pac man pocket letters i made.

I made one for sara and it was so sweet i made two more one for ash and one for tam bc it was so awesome! I lived doing it. There have been a couple of times they all got the exact same ones. Usually there they are similar or have same theme sometimes but will be different. Lately i have loved my themes or what i did so they all got same. Like i know for sure april was the same like this one ways bc they were to awesome.

You can see how i made this one on black  paper with white gel pen.

Then i took a blue marker and colored the white lines to turn them blue.

Then i added dots.

Then i added a hello player one, high score which is actually the date, added pacman, and some ghosts. Which i got the ghosts from Lawn Fawn's super cute set Monster Mash.

As you can see the dots are different and all theirs not bc i was lazy i wanted it to look like they been played. I hope this helps you guys and encourages some of you to make a pocket letter! They are so fun usually mine are dont in more of an atc style with 9 different ones with one theme but this one was just so fun to try!! I love it!! So did the guys!

Thank you for stopping by!

A BEE-autiful thank you card for Sandi

Hey guys!

I'm going to start with this post this week bc the flowers made me happy and making the card makes me happy and smile! I need it. I have learned my grandma has passed away. So, just wanted to talk about something cheerful and BEE-autiful!

So I know I have talked about Beth on here but not sure I have told you guys have a great friendship with her mother too! She lives not only in my town but in neighborhood too. She is amazing and we get together time to time to have lunch it usually is harder during the skool bc she works within the skool system But Sandi has retired so it should be much easier to see her... maybe lol.

But we were able to do lunch last week which was nice and we were out for like 3 1/2 hours talking and catching up... a real sign it's been to long. But she bought me flowers. I have been having a rough month with meds so I dont become diabetic, my father's health is not good. He has been in surgery multiple times over the last few months, Boyfriend stepped down from his manager position which is good bc hedoesnt need the stress but took a HUGE pay cut like 6 dollar pay cut. So just been way stressed about alot so she bought me flowers so nice of her!

So I thought I would snail mail her a card to say thank  you! I loved the way it turned out! In High School a chick I use to hang with use to call me Lyzz-a-Bee! So it really made me happy! She didn't know that!

I got to try out the Lawn Fawn Black Licorices ink. Tam had it and I used it on the word Amazing tho that one isn't a Lawn Fawn stamp it is a Fiskars Teresa Collins stamp. other than that I used Memento Black to stamp and color things. I liked the black for the brightness I think it would be amazing for sentiments but I preferred my memento for my copic coloring still. Tho it might be amazing for other markers that are non alcohol based or even color pencils. I am just spoiled. I do have one Lawn Fawn Ink... Freshly Cut Grass (Bright Green) love it. But never used markers with it.

I used a couple of Lawn Fawn Stamp sets. Tam had the petite florals, so I used a flower out of that set to make the flowers. Which sad to say the petite florals set is retired but I am sure you can still find it online somewhere it is newly retired. They just started retiring their sets
:(

Which totally makes me sad! I don't own them all yet!

I used the Bee from Gnome Sweet Gnome, totally one of my favorite sets!

I used a recollections stencil I got from Michael's while in Florida with Sara in Sept 2015 to do the honey combs with some stamping up's Hello Honey ink.

The washi tape I believe is Michael's recollections collection. It was one Tam has it was foil silver arrows on white tape. I really loved it and it worked so well on this card in the photo it doesn't look silver just kinda gray.

I hope Sandi Likes it.

 Thank you for stopping in!

Masking Technique for Clear Stamps

Hey guys,

So Sara asked me yesterday while I was at work about masking with clear stamps she is new to those long time crafter and artist but new to the clear stamps... i dont think i was very clear to her when i was texting her bc i was also at work. So today i thought how about i make a little video about it and hopefully it will help her since she lives in Florida and I live in Michigan lol.

So here it is and i hope it helps a few people including Sara!

I hope y'all have a great day and enjoy the short video!

Yeti ATC

Hey guys! So this week I joined a fun little swap on swap-bot.com called, "I Believe Series" this one was a Yeti which allowed me to use the Yeti Set Go set from Lawn Fawn (shocker i know, haha) Ok so i also purchased a couple of new Lawn Fawn sets early in the month too and used one of those sets too (Let's Bokeh) which is a fun little circle set! Also in September I got some white ink which I used and tried something different I used some white sticker paper stamped my Yeti on that and colored him with colored pencils instead of markers like i usually do so it was fun to try a few new things.

Used the white ink on the bright red cardstock. Then added some stitch lines in black. Also added some white paper and some washi on top of it to add some color.

I really like how he turned out! I hope my swap partner does too!

shocking find

Hey guys! Ok so today i was checking into a few products on the Joann Fabrics website since there is a sale. So ok i am kinda shocked to find some Lawn Fawn on Joann's website... i'm not shocked they have noticed the awesomeness of Lawn Fawn but i'm shocked they found started carrying them so soon to be honestly i was expecting them to carry Lawn Fawn but I wasnt expecting it for a couple more years to be honest... I am excited to see that Lawn Fawn is growing and expanding and will now be more nation wide available.

http://www.joann.com/search?q=lawn%20fawn

but I did notice that Joann's is charging a little more than Lawn Fawn website... like 50 cent to  dollar more which isnt much but I did notice that. You might be able to catch a sale on joann's for them or use a coupon tho i can honestly say i will more than likely keep purchasing through LawnFawn.com I havent been to keen on Joann's as of late...

ESPECIALLY my local joann's they dont have a huge selection of crafting things half the store is fabric bc it's a huge thing up here fabric and sewing and quilt making. So the rest of the store which it's not a big store either is the rest of the stuff like scissors have an aisle , paper has an aisle , jewelry has 2 aisles (another big thing up here), stamping, embellishments they also have seasonal things. I still store there but it makes me sad they don't have to big of a selection for like card making/scrapbooking things they have a little bit of everything in like 1 3/4 so almost 2 aisles (both sides of both aisles) but when your thinking there is hole punches (fiskars, martha stewart) , tim holtz dies, tim holtz selection, tersea collins selection, the single pieces or patterened paper is on these aisles too, circut things, embossing folders, stampings both rubber and clear, inks, embossing powders, heat tools, Disney (selection of stickers, a couple of punches, papers, etc), washi tape, embellishments, alochol based markers, some dot runners, tombow is down these aisles, the studio g dollar things like stickers, post it notes and embellishments . That is alot for such a small space.

Thought i would let you guys know what I found today

A Quick Mushroom ATC

Hey everyone!!! So, today's post is a swap-bot swap of course... this one is a "quick mushroom ATC" I like these quick ones they are usually a quick turn around and gets my mind going and not alot of rules or things usually just a simple request of an atc with at least one item this case is the a mushroom and standard ATC rules. This is how i started senting my ATC's the title card is same 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches then i put the ATC in then i have a note/letter on the same color paper and with same logo as the title card then if there are extras the go after. i really like this system it makes so much more fun for me.

Pocket Letter for Ashley

Hey Everyone! Ok so this post is about the pocket letter I made for Ashley to keep things fair with my 2 best friends... i usually do things alphabetical so Ashley first then Beth... I don't want to play favorites. Best frankly I dont have a favorite they both mean everything to me and can't and won't chose between then so the best system I have is to do things alphabetical order.

Ok so I got very excited about this pocket letter thing and seeming as Ashley, Beth and I do ATC swaps this is like the next best step!!!

Here is the complete and over view of the pocket letter for Ashley.

Here is the hello ATC i made for her

some washi tape for her

the date not an atc just paper i liked the back and she can use it if she wants
the flower is out the out side of the clear plastic sheets
