EASTER BOX

Hey everyone! So, yesterday our easter box came from the ever so amazing mother in law Donna. She rocks. She knows us so well and she is always spot on with gifts. I love that with everything that is going on in her life in florida with grand kids, mother, husband, adult children, friends, working a full time job she still takes the time to find things we love and mails them to us in michigan. It's amazing and so is she and i am very thankful for her, the family and her amazing son whom i spend my life with. Well here is what she has sent us.

Pocket Letter Pal Swap

hey everyone! So today's post is pocket letter pal swap... 

If you have not heard about these (i had not until this week)!

Well ok so Pocket Letter is something a lady Janette Lane came up with while she was doing Project Life (i never got into Project Life it's not for me. you guys know i usually create my own backgrounds with washi tape and/or markers. But I like the idea of Project Life I feel everyone should create thingsno matter how much time you have. Project Life is one you can do rather you have 10 mins or 10 hours which is nice)... ok so she was doing a Project Life and was writing her pen pals so she found some of the nine pocket baseball card sheets and started making something similar to the Project Life for her pen pal. She posted it on instragram and apparently it became an over night success. I can see why the ATC swaps are very popular these days so take that a step farther into a letter and fun things for your friends is no surprise it's a success and so ingenious too! Ok so things you add to them you can do stickers, tea bags, ephemera, washi tape, bakers twine and/or pictures. Don't forget your letter to your friend/pen pal. Then you fold into 3's and mail it in a standard size letter envelop. Your partner can save them in  3 ring binder and look back on it. 

OK SO HOW EXCITING IS THAT!

Which is so funny bc I have 2 binders one for Ashley and one for Beth and have their ATC's, letters, cards and postcards in. So, this posket letter is RIGHT up my alley fo'sure! It totally took my love of snail mail, my love of ATCs and my love for letter writing and just rolled it into one fun project!

I did mine in more of an ATC style (i know it's a shocker lol )

Ok so a lady posted a swap on swap-bot.com for this swap there is also a website for this

I have not used this site so I don't know anything about it I would assume it's similar to  swap-bot.com but not really sure. Also there are a bunch of youtube videos dedicated to this type of swap already I enjoyed a number of videos on the subject this week :)

would be cute to make it with a circle quote and found one about friend circles

Rainy Day Gnome ATC

Hey everyone. Today's post is about a swap-bot swap "Rainy Day Gnome" I'm in a group called gnome sweet gnome and this week someone posted this swap. I was instantly excited and it took me a few days to actually make bc I have been SUPER sick with serve chest cold and coughing all weekend.

I used Lawn Fawn's gnome sweet gnome stamp set for the gnome, I used the Recollection's Fun border stamp set for the cloud and then I used Color Box's Cerulean Blue Pigment Ink with an Impressions Obsession's cover-a-card dot background stamp for the background. i used a heart hole punch to make the raid drops and cut them in half. I also used form tape to pop things up and pop them different levels for a fun effect!

Crafting Art Studio Move

Hey guys! So, I have had all my fun crafting and art supplies in our separate bedroom which use to be our bedroom until we put our bed in the computer room... a whole room of my stuff! Well not anymore... now all my crafting and art supplies are heading to the computer room. I cleaned and vacuumed an area to put stuff then boxed half my stuff up and moved it into the computer room then vacuumed and moved the bed into the bedroom then began to unpack a few things then showered and went to eat and got my taxes did. What a day off!! I did it all alone on Monday so I wont have to do it today! Thank goodness I did bc it was a crazy week with extra hours and working as fast as we could bc we are 4 people doing 7 peoples job and one called off so was CRA-ZZZZZZYYYY! 

Only half my craft stuff lol still have to put this stuff away and then move some things around and move the rest of my stuff to the computer room. So sad no more room just for my stuff.... *SAD*

Sea Creature ATC : Sea Turtle

Hey guys so I got a some time to craft! It's a shocker I know but i managed to get some time and signed on to swap-bot and found a fun swap to do.... Sea Creatures.... this one was Sea Turtle! It was funny i was doodling in my sketch book and had this picture on my desktop for like a year i want to get it tattooed if my mom still wants to get sea turtle tattooed together. So, I was sketching and then signed on to swap-bot and found this one i was like WHAT! how fun!

let's get organized

Heya everyone! 

So, i did some organizing! 

I got these little blue trays from a thrift shop downtown and i have six or seven of them for super cheap and they are shorter and are perfect for washi tape!! So, i am kinda in love with them for that. Also, i got this cardboard display from work it held some chips and i was going to throw it away then I thought that would be perfect for some duck tape which you can tell in the photo i might have an addiction too but i make things with it and i love duck tape most of it is ducktape brand i just find their tape easier to work with. On the topo shelf i put out my ribbon bc it was REALLY hard to get to the way i had it. It was in a box from a pair of snow boots that the lid was attached the box sat under all my tape. It was SO DARN HARD TO GET INTO TOO! which made me not use it but i do have some beautiful ribbons and dont have to much for how long i have had most of this ribbon. alot of it was gifts from people i dont keep it bc of that i keep bc i couldnt get into the box lol Now the problem is solved with this little display shelf!!

I am sure Ashley, Beth, Donna (basically my mother-in-law) and Sara can see some tape and ribbon they have bought me or gave me! <3 you gals more than you will ever know!!

My January "art"

Hey guys so didnt get anything but this!

Yes this as much art as i have done in months!

I made this for the gas station to get some ones bc I had 8 in the whole store on a busy Friday night.

Also when I showed everyone this it was a onesie but could tell bc had not sent them. There were two horde onesies made one for Ash&Sergio and Tam&Steve <3!

*LIFE UPDATE*

Also Janee and I got into a car accident her car is totaled but we are ok. Life has been crazy to say the least. my knee is bruised and chest has a little bruise from the seat belt her chest is really bruised from the seat belt and a bruise on her arm and a friction burn on her hand. So, we are ok and glad for it. It could have been so much worse and very thankful we were able to get out of the car and walk away with some bumps, bruises, and a scratch
